Tips for Tiquers

* To get the musty smell out of old books, take two tablespoons of ammonia, dilute it with an equal amount of water, then use it to wet a sponge.   Squeeze the sponge almost dry and wave it over the book. That should get rid of smoky and musty smells.

* Antique furniture should never be "polished" or cleaned with commercial cleaning products or polishes.   Instead, use a soft cloth with some glass cleaner.
